Available for Adoption:

Tippy

Tippy is an adorable female Boston Terrier – estimated to be about 2 years old. Tippy is a tiny Boston weighing only about 13lbs. She came to us with only 3 legs – one of her front legs having been amputated. Shhhh! Don’t tell Tippy! She has no idea she is handicapped in any way – and so far has not found anything she cannot do with 3 legs! Tippy was also heartworm positive but has completed treatment and once spayed in early February will be ready for adoption. The ideal home for Tippy would be with a family where someone is home most of the day. Tippy is very people focused and wants to be with you at all times. She gets along great with all – dogs, cats, and kids. Tippy still has a bit of puppy in her and needs to be watched so that she doesn’t get herself into trouble! She is crate trained but not very fond of the crate. If you would like to give this adorable girl a home, please fill out an online adoption application. Butch and Sweet Pea

Posted by Andie Sun, 28 Jan 2007 15:09:00 GMT

Sweet Pea and Butch are an adorable pair that came to us from GA. They have lived together their entire lives so we would like to try and place them in a home together. However, if that is not possible we will consider separate homes for them. Sweet Pea is a Boston mix whose pictures do not do her justice – she is a beautiful girl and looks very much like a miniature boxer. She has a gorgeous brown coat and the sweetest face ever! Sweet Pea is very gentle, loving and playful! Butch is a pure bred Boston who came to us with juvenile cataracts. He has had successful surgery and now has complete vision in both eyes.
Butch will require eye drops for life but should live a long, healthy, and sightful life. Butch is also very loving and playful. Both Sweet Pea & Butch have been brought up to date on all shots, both are heartworm negative, and both have been altered. This pair came from a home with children so we feel they would make wonderful playmates for kids!
Please consider opening your home and heart to this wonderful pair! CLICK HERE TO PROCEED TO OUR ADOPTION INFORMATION

Bosley

Posted by Cole Mon, 09 Oct 2006 15:43:00 GMT

Bosley is a wonderful 6 year old boston terrier that weighs 15 lbs. and likes nothing better than to lay in your lap or have you hold him. He is a “kissing fool” – so if you don’t like ‘doggy kisses’ Bosley won’t be for you. He loves playing outdoors with his foster sisters (he doesn’t like his foster brothers). He really likes his chew toys. He is getting accustomed to his crate but would prefer to sleep in the bed with you. He is UTD on vaccinations, on Heartguard and neutered. Bosley’s HW test was “suspicous” so Bosley will need to stay on Heartguard and be rechecked in 6 months. If you are interested in Bosley, please fill out an online adoption application. For more information on Bosley, please contact his foster mom, June.

Walker

Posted by Cole Mon, 09 Oct 2006 15:34:00 GMT

Meet Walker! He is a 3 year old Boston Terrier. Walker is a “reserved” type of guy and can be a little ‘head strong’ when you first meet him. You just have to let him know that when the BOSS says NO he has to listen.!! Then he becomes a Teddy Bear! He gets along great with both male and female dogs…but will stand up to a dominant male challenging him…He loves playing with tug toys and with other foster dogs, playing chase and chewing on his bones. He needs a fenced yard, since he LOVES being outdoors.!! Since Walker can be a little “head strong” he will not be adopted to a home with children. He LOVES men, but likes women, too. Walker has a really dark, black hair coat that is beautiful! He needs a home where he will be able to SLEEP with his adoptive parent(s) !!! It really hurts his feelings when he is not allowed to sleep in the bed at night! Walker has been neutered and is UTD on vaccinations. If you are interested in Walker, please out an online adoption application.

Chubbs

Posted by Cole Tue, 03 Oct 2006 10:02:00 GMT

Chubbs came to us with his 10 lb. Boston Terrier mother as owner surrenders. Chubbs is about 18 months and has pretty much lived in the backyard all of his life. As a result, he is scared of new situations and new people and will need to go to a home that is patient and understanding of Chubbs learning his way around in the world.

He is a wonderful boy who is loving and playful and gets along well with other dogs. Chubbs needs a fenced in yard and a family that will exercise hm a lot to help burn off his big boy puppy energy! If you are interested in Chubbs, please fill out an online adoption application.

A home visit is required for all homes considered for adoption. A vet reference is required for homes currently owning pets. ABTR’s adoption fee is $250.

Update from Chubbs’ Foster Mom – Chubbs!!!! Chubbs has learned so much since he came to ABTR! He now knows how to sit, heel, and “stay down”. Chubb’s morning walks have helped him with his fear of cars and machinery, and now he trots along like a pro! Chubbs is becoming more independent and peaceful- he is a wonderful boy- and whoever adopts him will be very lucky!!!
